Automation for software testing is a difficult and compound process. The most recognizable aspect of test automation is to organize the test cases, then running these test cases onto the system and capture the results and then verify them. For that, a set of expected results are needed to compare the actual results of the system. Generation of the expected results can be done by various techniques. The technique surveyed in this paper is Test Oracles Generation. This paper describes the purpose of oracles for various types of software testing and also survey some types of Oracles used for the Software testing.
